EDMMax FC45HW (Horizontal, Submerged) Fast Wire EDM

This unique inverted, submerged cutting, Taiwan-built Fast Wire EDM was designed to rapidly remove the 3-D metal printed parts from the build plates. The FC models were designed to run with reusable molybdenum wire, travelling back and forth between two spoolers at about 5 meters/second. The fast-moving wire draws the EDM swarf out of the cut area quickly to increase forward cutting speed. Fast Wire EDMs are perfect for the interrupted cutting of 3-D metal printed parts as the fast-moving wire does bit require high pressure water for speed.

This unique, inverted, Fast Wire EDM features:

Loading cart is optional.

The FC models do not require the water additive of other moly fast wires as the work areas and water reservoir is stainless steel. However, water additives can be used to boost cutting speeds. Part retrieval is simple with the drop front door design. Manual loading, or an optional loading cart is available.

The FC models cut with the build plate inverted so that upon cutoff, the individual parts separate and float to the bottom of the work tank for easy retrieval. The FC models are stainless steel design and, therefore, only require deionized water without the additive used by other Fast Wire EDMs, eliminating the secondary cleaning operation. Manual loading or optional build plate cart loading for heavier build plates up to 176 lbs.
