The CHMER HM Series of High Speed (30,000 - 50,000 rpm) Mills were designed to cut both graphite and hard metals like molds and dies. These high-speed mills have 2000 block look-ahead software that can compensate the feed rates to maintain constant cutter loads depending on the contours to minimize cutter failure. The universal Gentec PC included as standard, uses a Fanuc emulator on an Intel industrial PC. Optional Siemens and Heidenhain PCs and drivers are available.

The HM Series are available in two sizes and in both ball screw drive HM43T and HM65T and also in 3-axis linear motor drives HM4030L and HM6050L models. An optional dust free oil shroud is available on all models to capture 100% of the graphite dust in the EDM compatible oil. This oil is the same as the oil used in your EDMs, so no cleaning is required. Cutting in the oil shroud also allows for redressing the electrode without contaminating your vacuum system!

A 16-position ATC is standard and optional to 32 positions. 30,000 rpm Theta spindles are standard in HSKE32, E40 and E50 sizes. Spindles are laser temperature compensated to control growth. A rugged casting supports the entire mill for rigidity at high speeds.
